Indian River Lagoon Charter Boat and Gear

Vero Beach Inshore Fishing Boat.

The Easy Days, skippered by Captain Terry Lamielle is a speedy Vero Beach fishing boat that offers plenty of fishing room so your Vero Beach fishing trip will be as comfortable as possible.

Your boat ride to the outstanding Vero Beach or Cocoa Beach fishing grounds while you're on your Indian River Lagoon charter fishing trip will be aboard Captain Terry's 22 foot 2007 Sterling Pro center console flats fishing boat that's fully equipped with all the latest in electronic gear and charter boat technology.

The boat is powered by a 250HP Mercury Optimax Pro XS Outboard which can get you out to the Vero Beach charter fishing grounds in lightning quick fashion. The boat is very smooth and stable even in rough waters and has 360 degrees of fishability and with its shallow draft can get you in some of the shallowest of the shallow water flats water where a lot of big fish hide.

Captain Terry's boat can fish up to a maximum of 3 anglers plus Captain Terry. So if your party is made up of 3 buddies or a small family you can all fish comfortably with Captain Terry at the helm.

Captain Terry will provide all the tackle and gear needed, from light tackle to heavy gear for your Cocoa Beach fishing trip; of course you are welcome to bring and use your own tackle, but it is not required. Just let the Captain know in advance, and he will provide what gear is needed for any fish that you desire to pursue. High quality bait casters or spinning gear is available at your request. Experienced anglers, as well as first-timers are all welcome to fish, kids too.

As a guest of Capt. Terry you will find all top quality Shimano spinning reels on G-Loomis rods spooled with Power pro braided line. I also have for my customers Shimano bait casting reels on G-Loomis and Shimano rods. All tackle, lures, ice and bottled water will be furnished to make your trip a pleasant one.

For saltwater bookings no fishing license is needed but if a freshwater booking is desired then a Florida non resident license will need to be purchased for each person aboard.

  • Fishing rods and reels all supplied
  • Tackle and artificial baits
  • Saltwater Fishing license not needed - Freshwater license is required for freshwater trips
  • Bottled Water provided

What to Bring on a Vero Beach Charter Fishing Trip

These are a few items you may or may not want to bring. These are things to make you more comfortable on the water during the hot Florida summer days.

A food, drink and fish cooler

Bring a cooler for food and drinks. Ask your Florida fishing boat Captain how large of a cooler you will need to carry your fish home in.

A sports bag to carry all your personal fishing gear

A sports bag is a good idea to bring for carrying your rain gear, hat, glasses etc and other personal items that you need on a Vero Beach flats fishing trip.

Bring chicken, subs, and sandwiches or whatever you want to eat. Bring your drinks - Ask the Captain if he allows beer.

Bring all your food and drinks.

Foul weather gear - Optional

If you will be fishing in foul or rainy weather then you may want to bring some gear to keep you dry. Not as important on boats with covers and cabins but on inshore boats you may not have the luxury of a cabin.

Bring polarized sun glasses to block the suns glare

Bring sun glasses. Preferrably polarized fishing glasses to lessen the sun's glare that reflects up off the water. Plus polarized glaases help you see the fish better in on the flats.

A camera or video camera for pictures

Bring a camera to take snapshots of those big redish you catch or video of the beautiful inshore waters of Florida and the Cocoa Beach fishing area.

Fishing hats to block sun burn

A hat or ball cap is a good idea, especially for you guys that are getting a bit thin on top. Protect your head from the sun's burning rays.

If you get seasick then motion sickness pills would be a very good idea

If you get sea sick or aren't sure if you get sea sick then it is a very wise idea to take your Dramamine before you leave the dock. Nothing can ruin a fishing trip worse than a guy named "RALPH".

Sun screen so you won't burn

The Vero Beach region and middle Florida Space Coast region can get very hot during the summer. Make sure you bring sunscreen, especially if you burn. If you have sunburn then you can't enjoy your light tackle or inshore flats fishing trip to Vero Beach or Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Bring cash to tip the boat's mate - TIP HIM WELL!

You probably already paid for the trip but you should make sure you have some cash in pocket so you can tip the guide or mate. Charter boat Captains operate on shoe string budgets, especially with gas prices nowadays plus it is not easy work so it is very common to give your guide or Captain a tip if you feel like they went above and beyond to satisfy you.
